Jammu & Kashmir Study Center
The Jammu Kashmir Study Centre (JKSC) was established in 2011 as a premier National level Think tank dedicated to the in-depth study and research of Jammu and Kashmir in its entirety. Its primary aim is to provide objective, evidence-based analysis and policy recommendations on the political, economic, social, and security aspects of the region. Given the strategic significance of Jammu and Kashmir to India, JKSC’s mission is to contribute to the region’s development by fostering informed dialogue, promoting peace, and supporting policies that enable growth and development.
Our Journey
Over the years, Jammu Kashmir Study Centre (JKSC) has evolved into a prominent platform for informed discussions on Jammu and Kashmir. What started with a focus on internal political and security issues has grown to include regional socio-economic development, governance, and global geopolitics surrounding the region.
With 15 branches, 25 activity centres, and various collaborated institutions in India, JKSC has made significant strides in establishing itself as a key player in shaping the developmental and welfare initiatives of Jammu and Kashmir. Through collaborations with academic institutions and policymakers, JKSC continues to work towards a peaceful, prosperous, and stable Jammu and Kashmir.
Objective
The mission of JKSC is to be a leading think tank that provides in-depth research and policy guidance on Jammu and Kashmir, with the aim of contributing to the sustainable development of the region. JKSC strives to act as a neutral platform for dialogue between communities and stakeholders in Jammu and Kashmir. Provide data-driven policy recommendations to improve governance and boost socio-economic growth in the region. Engage with local communities and civil society to understand their needs and challenges, ensuring that the solutions proposed are context-sensitive and inclusive.
